Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which rose 7.44% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Sider (LM:SID) added 5.00% or 0.030 points to end at 0.630 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 2.50% or 0.020 points to 0.820 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which fell 3.91% or 0.090 points to trade at 2.210 at the close. Casa Grande (LM:CSG) declined 3.48% or 0.200 points to end at 5.550 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was down 2.16% or 0.040 points to 1.810.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 16 to 10 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sider (LM:SID) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 5.00% or 0.030 to 0.630. Shares in Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) rose to 5-year highs; rising 2.50% or 0.020 to 0.820.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.25% or 0.17 to $68.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.43% or 0.32 to hit $74.42 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 6.50 to trade at $1324.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.06% to 3.2345, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.9260.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 91.31.
