Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minsur (LM:MINi), which rose 5.26% or 0.100 points to trade at 2.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) added 3.65% or 0.440 points to end at 12.500 and Minera Irl (LM:IRL) was unchanged 3.45% or 0.00 points to 0.09 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cerro Verde (LM:CVE), which fell 5.00% or 1.500 points to trade at 28.500 at the close. Candente Copper (LM:DNT) declined 4.05% or 0.0060 points to end at 0.1420 and Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) was down 3.33% or 0.007 points to 0.203.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 18 to 16 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Minsur (LM:MINi) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.26% or 0.100 to 2.000.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.57% or 0.30 to $52.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $58.40 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.41 to trade at $1278.71 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2345, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8207.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 93.53.
