Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 1.63%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 17.63% or 0.520 points to trade at 3.470 at the close. Meanwhile, Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) added 7.14% or 1.500 points to end at 22.500 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was up 5.78% or 0.410 points to 7.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:PML), which fell 2.14% or 0.003 points to trade at 0.137 at the close. Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) declined 1.64% or 0.010 points to end at 0.600 and Unacem (LM:CEL) was down 0.81% or 0.020 points to 2.450.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 25 to 10 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) rose to 52-week highs; up 7.14% or 1.500 to 22.500.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.32% or 0.17 to $52.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $55.20 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.55% or 6.65 to trade at $1208.95 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.11% to 3.2815, while EUR/PEN fell 0.20% to 3.5276.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.32% at 100.27.
