Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 1.38%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Sider (LM:SID), which rose 7.50% or 0.024 points to trade at 0.344 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 6.67% or 0.060 points to end at 0.960 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 6.00% or 0.030 points to 0.530 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cerro Verde (LM:CVE), which fell 2.22% or 0.500 points to trade at 22.000 at the close. Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) declined 1.33% or 0.150 points to end at 11.150 and Inversiones Centenario SAA (LM:ICE) was down 0.80% or 0.040 points to 4.950.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 24 to 6 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.20% or 0.10 to $48.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $51.73 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 2.13% or 25.55 to trade at $1226.25 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2545, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.4870.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 100.09.
