Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Mining and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 1.35%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 4.00% or 0.007 points to trade at 0.182 at the close. Meanwhile, Edelnor (LM:EDN) added 2.89% or 0.160 points to end at 5.700 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) was up 2.49% or 3.500 points to 144.200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which unchanged 2.33% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.08 at the close. Milpo (LM:MIL) declined 2.24% or 0.050 points to end at 2.180 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was down 2.10% or 0.120 points to 5.580.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 13 to 13 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.90% or 1.15 to $61.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.16% or 0.75 to hit $65.63 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.42% or 5.00 to trade at $1193.70 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.1550, while EUR/PEN rose 0.98% to 3.4780.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.57% at 96.00.
