Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, S&P Lima Juniors and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 1.01% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Edegel (LM:EDE), which rose 5.77% or 0.150 points to trade at 2.750 at the close. Meanwhile, Credicorp (LM:BAP) added 2.96% or 4.790 points to end at 166.800 and Panoro (LM:PML) was up 2.24% or 0.003 points to 0.137 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Minsur (LM:MINi), which fell 2.76% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.410 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 1.59% or 0.050 points to end at 3.100 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was down 1.49% or 0.004 points to 0.264.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.13% or 1.13 to $51.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.63% or 0.91 to hit $54.81 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.25% or 3.05 to trade at $1235.15 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.44% to 3.2960, while EUR/PEN rose 0.01% to 3.5158.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 100.38.
