Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Electricity, Services and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.91% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 5.88% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.360 at the close. Meanwhile, Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 4.97% or 0.770 points to end at 16.270 and Milpo (LM:MIL) was up 3.70% or 0.100 points to 2.800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC), which fell 1.90% or 0.50 points to trade at 25.80 at the close. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 1.38% or 0.002 points to end at 0.143 and Edegel (LM:EDE) was down 0.95% or 0.030 points to 3.140.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 19 to 6 and 5 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was up 3.36% or 1.57 to $48.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.12% or 0.06 to hit $50.85 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.67% or 9.10 to trade at $1357.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3035, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7489.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.61% at 94.11.
