Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining, Banking & Financials and S&P Lima Juniors sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 5.33% or 0.017 points to trade at 0.336 at the close. Meanwhile, Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 4.48% or 0.630 points to end at 14.690 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was up 4.17% or 0.030 points to 0.750 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Edelnor (LM:EDN), which fell 2.06% or 0.120 points to trade at 5.700 at the close. Alicorp (LM:ALI) declined 1.96% or 0.150 points to end at 7.500 and Sider (LM:SID) was down 1.21% or 0.005 points to 0.410.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 7 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Trevali Mining (LM:TV) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.17% or 0.030 to 0.750.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.59% or 1.58 to $45.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.17% or 0.08 to hit $47.04 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.61% or 21.25 to trade at $1339.45 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3680, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7775.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.53% at 95.46.
