Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Banking & Financials and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 19.78% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.109 at the close. Meanwhile, Credicorp (LM:BAP) added 3.50% or 3.900 points to end at 115.200 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 3.33% or 0.010 points to 0.310 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which fell 14.19% or 0.061 points to trade at 0.369 at the close. Casa Grande (LM:CSG) declined 1.24% or 0.050 points to end at 4.000 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) was down 1.20% or 0.32 points to 26.38.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 10 to 9 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.87% or 1.27 to $42.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 3.00% or 1.45 to hit $46.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.34% or 3.70 to trade at $1084.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.08% to 3.3156, while EUR/PEN fell 0.21% to 3.5533.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 99.06.
