Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Electricity and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Credicorp (LM:BAP), which rose 3.30% or 3.320 points to trade at 103.820 at the close. Meanwhile, Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) added 1.56% or 0.200 points to end at 13.000 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) was up 1.33% or 0.040 points to 3.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which fell 5.93% or 0.150 points to trade at 2.380 at the close. Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) declined 3.03% or 0.500 points to end at 16.010 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was down 2.04% or 0.005 points to 0.240.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 11 to 6 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Trevali Mining (LM:TV) fell to all time lows; down 2.04% or 0.005 to 0.240.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.80% or 0.80 to $45.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.83% or 0.86 to hit $48.20 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.39% or 4.40 to trade at $1127.30 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.14% to 3.2410, while EUR/PEN rose 0.81% to 3.6321.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 96.06.
