Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA), which rose 2.88% or 0.140 points to trade at 5.010 at the close. Meanwhile, Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 2.17% or 0.100 points to end at 4.700 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was up 1.51% or 0.090 points to 6.050 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which fell 4.07% or 0.220 points to trade at 5.180 at the close. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 3.75% or 0.030 points to end at 0.770 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was down 1.49% or 0.020 points to 1.320.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 12 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.47% or 0.28 to $60.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.45% or 0.28 to hit $63.30 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.41% or 16.90 to trade at $1185.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.21% to 3.1735, while EUR/PEN rose 0.57% to 3.5940.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 94.52.
