Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Mining, Industrials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Volcan Compania Minera SAA (LM:VOLa), which rose 7.50% or 0.150 points to trade at 2.150 at the close. Meanwhile, Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 3.21% or 0.070 points to end at 2.250 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) was up 2.38% or 0.100 points to 4.300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which fell 5.10% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.149 at the close. Candente Copper (LM:DNT) declined 5.00% or 0.0030 points to end at 0.0570 and PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) was 4.26% or 0.00 points to 0.04.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 17 to 12 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) fell to 3-years lows; down 5.10% or 0.008 to 0.149.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.11% or 0.05 to $45.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $47.89 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.97% or 12.54 to trade at $1280.66 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2695, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6749.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 96.95.
