Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Sider (LM:SID), which rose 9.01% or 0.019 points to trade at 0.230 at the close. Meanwhile, Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 8.62% or 0.050 points to end at 0.630 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 8.11% or 0.039 points to 0.520 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bco Continenta (LM:CON), which fell 4.11% or 0.150 points to trade at 3.500 at the close. Intergroup (LM:IFS) declined 1.82% or 0.500 points to end at 27.000 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was down 1.52% or 0.005 points to 0.325.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 10 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) rose to 52-week highs; rising 8.11% or 0.039 to 0.520.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 2.63% or 1.09 to $40.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.67% or 0.73 to hit $43.11 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.75% or 9.20 to trade at $1235.70 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.03% to 3.2750, while EUR/PEN rose 0.25% to 3.6901.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 94.68.
