Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, S&P Lima Juniors and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.35% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 6.19% or 0.007 points to trade at 0.120 at the close. Meanwhile, Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 5.33% or 0.120 points to end at 2.370 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) was up 2.39% or 3.90 points to 167.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which fell 2.41% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.810 at the close. Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) declined 1.75% or 0.010 points to end at 0.560 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) was down 1.36% or 0.100 points to 7.250.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 12 to 9 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.10% or 0.05 to $47.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.18% or 0.09 to hit $50.86 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.37% or 4.50 to trade at $1228.70 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.31% to 3.2735, while EUR/PEN rose 0.34% to 3.5808.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 99.05.
