Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining, Food & Beverages and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 15.00% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.115 at the close. Meanwhile, Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 11.77% or 0.040 points to end at 0.380 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was up 9.68% or 0.300 points to 3.400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which fell 10.00% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.04 at the close. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 7.32% or 0.030 points to end at 0.380 and Panoro (LM:PML) was down 4.76% or 0.004 points to 0.084.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 18 to 13 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Minera Irl (LM:IRL) fell to all time lows; down 10.00% or 0.01 to 0.04. Shares in Trevali Mining (LM:TV) fell to all time lows; down 7.32% or 0.030 to 0.380.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.61% or 0.61 to $38.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.43% or 0.18 to hit $42.88 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.20% or 13.80 to trade at $1139.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.29% to 3.2824, while EUR/PEN rose 0.39% to 3.7773.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.71% at 94.05.
