Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Mining, Non-Metal Minerals and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 6.00% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.265 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 4.88% or 0.040 points to end at 0.860 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) was up 3.24% or 0.690 points to 22.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Volcan Compania Minera SAA (LM:VOLa), which fell 6.98% or 0.150 points to trade at 2.000 at the close. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) declined 4.46% or 0.007 points to end at 0.150 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) was down 2.09% or 0.090 points to 4.210.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 11 to 10 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) fell to 3-years lows; down 4.46% or 0.007 to 0.150.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.59% or 0.27 to $45.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.79% or 0.38 to hit $48.24 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.79% or 10.05 to trade at $1269.45 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.05% to 3.2680, while EUR/PEN fell 0.53% to 3.6556.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 97.24.
