Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 9.09% or 0.080 points to trade at 0.960 at the close. Meanwhile, Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 5.19% or 0.590 points to end at 11.950 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 2.38% or 0.020 points to 0.860 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which fell 6.25% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.350 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 4.62% or 0.080 points to end at 1.650 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was down 2.84% or 0.210 points to 7.180.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 13 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.81% or 0.89 to $48.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.69% or 0.88 to hit $51.31 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 0.95 to trade at $1204.15 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.17% to 3.2830, while EUR/PEN rose 0.34% to 3.5023.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.65% at 101.32.
