Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Electricity, Services and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Relapasa (LM:REL), which rose 8.05% or 0.019 points to trade at 0.255 at the close. Meanwhile, Casa Grande (LM:CSG) added 4.96% or 0.350 points to end at 7.400 and Edegel (LM:EDE) was up 4.03% or 0.100 points to 2.580 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Credicorp (LM:BAP), which fell 0.49% or 0.800 points to trade at 162.400 at the close. Alicorp (LM:ALI) declined 0.13% or 0.010 points to end at 7.560 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was 0.00% or 0.000 points to 0.820.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 20 to 2 and 13 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.30% or 0.16 to $53.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $56.76 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.81% or 9.80 to trade at $1218.10 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.76% to 3.2450, while EUR/PEN rose 0.15% to 3.5216.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 99.80.
