Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Non-Metal Minerals and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 16.56% or 0.270 points to trade at 1.900 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferreyros (LM:FER) added 3.33% or 0.060 points to end at 1.860 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was up 2.22% or 0.005 points to 0.230 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sider (LM:SID), which fell 5.71% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.330 at the close. Unacem (LM:CEL) declined 3.75% or 0.090 points to end at 2.310 and Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) was down 3.25% or 0.500 points to 14.900.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 17 to 10 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.26% or 0.14 to $53.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $56.45 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.78% or 9.85 to trade at $1248.95 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.40% to 3.2650, while EUR/PEN rose 0.23% to 3.4670.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 101.34.
