Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining, Agriculture and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which rose 5.39% or 0.570 points to trade at 11.150 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 5.38% or 0.024 points to end at 0.470 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 1.70% or 0.010 points to 0.600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which fell 5.08% or 0.340 points to trade at 6.360 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 4.00% or 0.200 points to end at 4.800 and Unacem (LM:CEL) was down 3.70% or 0.100 points to 2.600.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 15 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Buenaventura (LM:BVN) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.39% or 0.570 to 11.150.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.28% or 1.15 to $51.51 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $52.70 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.44% or 18.00 to trade at $1265.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2955, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7539.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 93.59.
