Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 10.03% or 0.300 points to trade at 3.290 at the close. Meanwhile, Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 3.85% or 0.030 points to end at 0.810 and Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG) was up 3.57% or 0.050 points to 1.450 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ), which fell 3.04% or 0.400 points to trade at 12.750 at the close. Milpo (LM:MIL) declined 1.96% or 0.070 points to end at 3.500 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) was down 1.46% or 2.390 points to 160.810.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 12 to 11 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.85% or 0.030 to 0.810.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.94% or 0.50 to $52.51 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.80% or 0.45 to hit $55.56 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.16% or 1.95 to trade at $1197.85 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.09% to 3.3663, while EUR/PEN fell 0.32% to 3.5766.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 101.18.
