Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Lima Assorted, Non-Metal Minerals and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General gained 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 3.27% or 0.160 points to trade at 5.060 at the close. Meanwhile, Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) added 2.94% or 0.010 points to end at 0.340 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 1.82% or 0.010 points to 0.560 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Milpo (LM:MIL), which fell 1.55% or 0.030 points to trade at 1.930 at the close. Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) declined 1.38% or 0.150 points to end at 10.750 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) was down 0.23% or 0.010 points to 4.270.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 10 to 3 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) rose to 3-years lows; rising 2.94% or 0.010 to 0.340.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.57% or 0.32 to $56.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.30% or 0.81 to hit $62.88 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.39% or 16.70 to trade at $1186.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.37% to 3.1335, while EUR/PEN rose 1.17% to 3.3734.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 98.23.
