Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Mining, Food & Beverages and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.77% to hit a new 3-years high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which rose 8.72% or 0.013 points to trade at 0.162 at the close. Meanwhile, Relapasa (LM:REL) added 6.52% or 0.021 points to end at 0.343 and Compania Minera Milpo SAA Class I (LM:MILi) was up 6.25% or 0.200 points to 3.400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which fell 2.36% or 0.0030 points to trade at 0.1240 at the close. Unacem (LM:CEL) declined 1.68% or 0.050 points to end at 2.920 and Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) was down 0.74% or 0.090 points to 12.010.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 28 to 8 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.45% or 0.28 to $61.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.19% or 0.13 to hit $67.97 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.70 to trade at $1325.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.85% to 3.2041, while EUR/PEN fell 0.57% to 3.8656.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 91.59.
