Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Food & Beverages and Electricity sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Edegel (LM:EDE), which rose 2.35% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.740 at the close. Meanwhile, Alicorp (LM:ALI) added 2.28% or 0.230 points to end at 10.300 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) was up 1.54% or 3.11 points to 204.56 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which fell 5.08% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.560 at the close. Milpo (LM:MIL) declined 4.93% or 0.210 points to end at 4.050 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was down 4.66% or 0.013 points to 0.266.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 16 to 13 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.91% or 0.52 to $57.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.73% or 0.46 to hit $63.87 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.30 to trade at $1265.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.33% to 3.2820, while EUR/PEN fell 0.44% to 3.8702.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 93.04.
