Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Food & Beverages and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 3.77% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.100 at the close. Meanwhile, Credicorp (LM:BAP) added 2.71% or 4.500 points to end at 170.500 and Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) was up 2.67% or 0.400 points to 15.400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi), which fell 3.85% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.500 at the close. Sider (LM:SID) declined 3.03% or 0.010 points to end at 0.320 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was down 2.78% or 0.010 points to 0.350.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 12 and 13 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.13% or 0.61 to $54.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.93% or 0.52 to hit $56.70 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.18% or 2.25 to trade at $1236.85 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.38% to 3.2437, while EUR/PEN fell 0.89% to 3.4270.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.49% at 101.41.
