Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Energy, Diversified Financials and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 1.92%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC), which rose 1.30% or 0.9 points to trade at 74.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 1.04% or 3.6 points to end at 349.9 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was up 0.06% or 0.02 points to 34.19 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 14.31% or 4.4 points to trade at 26.5 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 7.35% or 1.59 points to end at 20.03 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was down 5.97% or 0.12 points to 1.92.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 134 to 33 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.83% or 0.40 to $47.79 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.82% or 0.40 to hit $48.53 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.68% or 21.40 to trade at $1253.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.39% to 9.3611, while USD/NOK rose 0.54% to 8.3529.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 95.27.
