Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Materials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 1.83%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Subsea 7 SA (OSLO:SUBC), which rose 1.46% or 1.1 points to trade at 76.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) added 1.22% or 1.0 points to end at 83.0 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OSLO:TGS) was up 0.54% or 1.0 points to 186.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO), which fell 3.93% or 0.43 points to trade at 10.50 at the close. Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) declined 3.52% or 1.95 points to end at 53.45 and Yara International ASA (OSLO:YAR) was down 3.46% or 14.6 points to 407.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 137 to 40 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.95% or 1.16 to $58.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.05% or 1.29 to hit $61.97 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.36% or 4.20 to trade at $1177.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.75% to 8.8204, while USD/NOK rose 0.73% to 7.8914.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 95.36.
