Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Energy, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 1.45%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA), which rose 4.69% or 2.35 points to trade at 52.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) added 4.02% or 0.5 points to end at 11.7 and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo) was up 1.59% or 13.0 points to 832.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which fell 7.81% or 3.4 points to trade at 40.6 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) declined 6.08% or 1.10 points to end at 17.00 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was down 5.82% or 2.10 points to 34.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 131 to 54 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.59% or 13.0 to 832.0.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.59% or 1.14 to $42.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.90% or 0.91 to hit $46.63 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.30 to trade at $1165.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 1.42% to 9.3454, while USD/NOK rose 1.55% to 8.4634.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 96.98.
