Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.86%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which rose 3.05% or 0.27 points to trade at 9.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 0.96% or 0.28 points to end at 29.48 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 0.58% or 0.24 points to 41.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which fell 4.03% or 9.80 points to trade at 233.50 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 3.87% or 1.1 points to end at 28.1 and Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was down 3.15% or 14.7 points to 452.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 113 to 66 and 30 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 3.09% or 1.67 to $52.32 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 3.03% or 1.73 to hit $55.37 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.85% or 9.95 to trade at $1183.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.47% to 9.0366, while USD/NOK rose 0.14% to 8.5479.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 101.95.
