Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Materials, Telecoms and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 5.59% or 0.37 points to trade at 6.99 at the close. Meanwhile, Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) added 3.11% or 1.60 points to end at 53.10 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) was up 2.96% or 1.0 points to 34.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which fell 4.56% or 15.7 points to trade at 328.3 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 3.57% or 1.01 points to end at 27.30 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was down 2.59% or 0.83 points to 31.25.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 94 to 77 and 17 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.95% or 0.84 to $44.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 2.00% or 0.89 to hit $45.42 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.14% or 14.20 to trade at $1236.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.18% to 9.2429, while USD/NOK rose 0.31% to 8.2282.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.44% at 95.04.
