Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Media, Telecoms and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which rose 4.69% or 7.3 points to trade at 162.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 3.31% or 0.65 points to end at 20.30 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 1.50% or 0.60 points to 40.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which fell 4.66% or 10.3 points to trade at 210.8 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 3.56% or 0.8 points to end at 20.8 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was down 2.92% or 0.03 points to 1.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 101 to 74 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.66% or 10.3 to 210.8. Shares in Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.50% or 0.60 to 40.72.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.59% or 0.80 to $49.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.75% or 0.92 to hit $51.59 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.40% or 5.05 to trade at $1247.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.81% to 9.0559, while USD/NOK rose 0.76% to 8.1186.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 96.86.
