Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Energy and Auto & components sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.58%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 4.49% or 11.7 points to trade at 272.5 at the close. Meanwhile, P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) added 3.85% or 12.40 points to end at 334.50 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was up 3.28% or 1.70 points to 53.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which fell 5.83% or 2.18 points to trade at 35.20 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 3.56% or 0.5 points to end at 13.8 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was down 3.51% or 0.97 points to 26.64.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 109 to 66 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) rose to 5-year highs; rising 3.28% or 1.70 to 53.60.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.58% or 0.30 to $52.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.54% or 0.30 to hit $55.35 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 7.85 to trade at $1243.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.01% to 8.8905, while USD/NOK fell 0.20% to 8.3064.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 100.11.
