Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Storebrand ASA (OL:STB), which rose 3.97% or 1.30 points to trade at 34.04 at the close. Meanwhile, Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) added 2.90% or 1.50 points to end at 53.25 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 1.03% or 0.30 points to 29.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 7.30% or 0.12 points to trade at 1.56 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 5.16% or 1.3 points to end at 24.4 and Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) was down 3.45% or 0.3 points to 8.4.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 99 to 67 and 27 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.96% or 0.84 to $41.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.82% or 0.82 to hit $44.16 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.38% or 5.15 to trade at $1351.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 1.01% to 9.2503, while USD/NOK fell 1.52% to 8.2799.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.44% at 95.64.
