Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Diversified Financials, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which rose 5.80% or 0.10 points to trade at 1.88 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) added 4.51% or 2.30 points to end at 53.30 and Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA) was up 2.92% or 2.20 points to 77.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yara International ASA (OSLO:YAR), which fell 5.99% or 24.3 points to trade at 381.1 at the close. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo) declined 3.18% or 17.5 points to end at 533.5 and Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) was down 2.72% or 0.4 points to 13.9.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 111 to 75 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) fell to all time lows; down 2.72% or 0.4 to 13.9.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.63% or 1.56 to $60.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.80% or 1.84 to hit $67.46 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.82% or 9.70 to trade at $1192.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.51% to 8.4006, while USD/NOK fell 1.26% to 7.4738.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.67% at 94.48.
