Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Materials, Auto & components and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which rose 2.22% or 0.46 points to trade at 21.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 1.74% or 5.3 points to end at 309.6 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 1.65% or 0.61 points to 37.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 5.83% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.08 at the close. Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) declined 2.80% or 0.2 points to end at 8.3 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was down 2.32% or 0.82 points to 34.49.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 101 to 73 and 21 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.65% or 1.66 to $47.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 3.42% or 1.64 to hit $49.62 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.44% or 5.90 to trade at $1343.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.38% to 9.2291, while USD/NOK rose 0.20% to 8.1973.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 95.00.
