Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Telecoms and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which rose 1.98% or 1.60 points to trade at 82.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 0.98% or 0.17 points to end at 17.37 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 0.80% or 0.28 points to 35.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 20.04% or 0.24 points to trade at 0.96 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) declined 2.99% or 1.10 points to end at 35.70 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was down 2.47% or 0.20 points to 7.88.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 104 to 72 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.98% or 1.60 to 82.60.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.78% or 1.29 to $45.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.41% or 1.15 to hit $46.50 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.26% or 3.45 to trade at $1341.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.14% to 9.1050, while USD/NOK fell 0.25% to 8.1145.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 95.45.
