Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Transport, Diversified Financials and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA), which rose 3.19% or 1.54 points to trade at 49.84 at the close. Meanwhile, Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) added 2.76% or 0.3 points to end at 13.1 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was up 2.06% or 0.63 points to 31.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 5.39% or 0.90 points to trade at 15.80 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 4.59% or 2.6 points to end at 55.0 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) was down 3.54% or 1.5 points to 41.2.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 98 to 82 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.58% or 1.14 to $43.07 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 2.66% or 1.28 to hit $46.82 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.20% or 2.20 to trade at $1086.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.06% to 9.2511, while USD/NOK fell 0.10% to 8.6182.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 99.09.
