Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Auto & components and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 4.20% or 9.8 points to trade at 243.4 at the close. Meanwhile, DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 2.34% or 0.18 points to end at 7.88 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was up 1.76% or 3.9 points to 225.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which fell 6.00% or 11.2 points to trade at 175.6 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 4.44% or 0.24 points to end at 5.17 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was down 4.08% or 9.10 points to 213.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 100 to 72 and 33 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.47% or 1.59 to $47.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 3.18% or 1.55 to hit $50.28 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 5.94 to trade at $1222.04 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.89% to 9.3633, while USD/NOK fell 0.87% to 8.6126.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 99.45.
