Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Energy, Materials and Capital Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which rose 3.07% or 13.20 points to trade at 442.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MOWI) added 1.56% or 3.20 points to end at 208.70 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was up 1.42% or 2.4 points to 171.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which fell 6.00% or 1.08 points to trade at 16.92 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) declined 3.25% or 9.80 points to end at 292.00 and BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO) was down 3.25% or 1.250 points to 37.250.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 129 to 73 and 30 ended unchanged.
Shares in Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MOWI) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.56% or 3.20 to 208.70.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.55% or 0.88 to $55.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.42% or 0.94 to hit $65.36 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.05% or 13.45 to trade at $1299.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.19% to 9.8422, while USD/NOK fell 0.25% to 8.7554.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 97.275.
