Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking, Energy and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.46%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR), which rose 5.70% or 4.15 points to trade at 77.00 at the close. Meanwhile, REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) added 5.42% or 0.11 points to end at 2.04 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 4.51% or 0.26 points to 6.02 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which fell 1.51% or 0.1 points to trade at 9.8 at the close. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) declined 1.49% or 0.5 points to end at 33.1 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) was down 0.91% or 1.20 points to 130.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 108 to 70 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.70% or 4.15 to 77.00.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.81% or 0.39 to $48.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.61% or 0.30 to hit $49.58 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.20% or 2.55 to trade at $1274.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.22% to 9.2757, while USD/NOK rose 0.56% to 8.2259.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 94.69.
