Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Auto & components, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.27%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Bw Lpg (OSLO:BWLPG), which rose 4.84% or 2.90 points to trade at 62.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Storebrand ASA (OSLO:STB) added 3.82% or 1.18 points to end at 32.08 and Yara International ASA (OSLO:YAR) was up 2.99% or 11.4 points to 392.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL), which fell 2.12% or 1.8 points to trade at 83.0 at the close. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) declined 2.05% or 1.2 points to end at 57.2 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT) was down 1.65% or 0.50 points to 29.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 115 to 61 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.60% or 0.36 to $59.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.74% or 0.47 to hit $62.55 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.39% or 16.70 to trade at $1185.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.22% to 8.7873, while USD/NOK rose 0.06% to 7.7285.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 94.33.
