Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Materials, Diversified Financials and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.07%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which rose 5.04% or 0.39 points to trade at 8.03 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 4.14% or 0.60 points to end at 15.10 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 4.13% or 1.91 points to 48.19 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV), which fell 5.40% or 4.15 points to trade at 72.75 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 2.08% or 4.30 points to end at 202.80 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) was down 1.75% or 2.50 points to 140.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 96 to 73 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.61% or 0.74 to $46.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.39% or 0.68 to hit $49.45 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.50% or 18.69 to trade at $1223.61 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.28% to 9.5104, while USD/NOK rose 0.25% to 8.3663.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 95.91.
