Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Materials and Diversified Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 5.78% or 1.30 points to trade at 23.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) added 4.28% or 5.7 points to end at 137.7 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 3.84% or 2.00 points to 54.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 27.79% or 2.42 points to trade at 6.28 at the close. BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) declined 2.22% or 0.96 points to end at 42.30 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was down 2.03% or 4.4 points to 212.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 101 to 79 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) fell to all time lows; falling 27.79% or 2.42 to 6.28. Shares in Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 4.28% or 5.7 to 137.7.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.47% or 0.24 to $51.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.55% or 0.30 to hit $54.47 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.68% or 8.55 to trade at $1249.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.02% to 9.1711, while USD/NOK rose 0.18% to 8.6059.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 100.54.
