Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Auto & components, Energy and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.98%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS), which rose 11.79% or 5.26 points to trade at 49.88 at the close. Meanwhile, Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) added 9.46% or 8.2 points to end at 95.5 and DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) was up 8.85% or 1.15 points to 14.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norsk Hydro ASA (OSLO:NHY), which fell 2.89% or 1.06 points to trade at 35.59 at the close. Marine Harvest ASA (OSLO:MHG) declined 1.13% or 1.05 points to end at 92.05 and DnB ASA (OSLO:DNB) was down 1.11% or 1.5 points to 134.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 124 to 60 and 2 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.87% or 0.51 to $59.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.77% or 0.51 to hit $66.34 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 2.50% or 30.20 to trade at $1179.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.88% to 8.4502, while USD/NOK rose 0.49% to 7.5655.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 95.28.
