Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Energy, Auto & components and Media sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR), which rose 3.27% or 1.65 points to trade at 52.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) added 3.23% or 1.57 points to end at 50.15 and Aker Solutions OL (OSLO:AKSOL) was up 3.12% or 1.42 points to 46.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which fell 2.55% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.57 at the close. DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) declined 1.37% or 0.15 points to end at 10.79 and Yara International ASA (OSLO:YAR) was down 1.13% or 4.4 points to 384.6.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 93 to 85 and 2 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.38% or 0.83 to $61.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.01% or 0.66 to hit $65.53 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.31% or 3.70 to trade at $1192.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.50% to 8.7406, while USD/NOK fell 1.33% to 7.8544.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.42% at 96.14.
