Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Materials and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 3.40% or 0.46 points to trade at 13.97 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) added 2.22% or 1.15 points to end at 52.90 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was up 1.94% or 0.02 points to 1.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA), which fell 1.28% or 3.40 points to trade at 262.20 at the close. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) declined 1.09% or 2.4 points to end at 218.6 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was down 0.81% or 1.50 points to 183.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 107 to 77 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.28% or 3.40 to 262.20. Shares in SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) fell to 52-week lows; down 0.81% or 1.50 to 183.70.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.71% or 0.36 to $50.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.69% or 0.37 to hit $53.16 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.35% or 4.35 to trade at $1255.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.08% to 9.1587, while USD/NOK fell 0.07% to 8.5933.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 100.46.
