Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Energy, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.45% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which rose 5.34% or 2.23 points to trade at 44.00 at the close. Meanwhile, REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) added 4.27% or 0.05 points to end at 1.27 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 3.53% or 0.31 points to 9.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which fell 2.19% or 4.4 points to trade at 196.4 at the close. Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) declined 1.92% or 9.2 points to end at 470.0 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) was down 1.34% or 2.10 points to 154.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 89 to 89 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.34% or 2.23 to 44.00.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.71% or 0.92 to $52.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.58% or 0.90 to hit $55.92 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.82% or 9.50 to trade at $1161.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.41% to 9.0125, while USD/NOK fell 0.01% to 8.6559.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.79% at 103.18.
