Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Auto & components and Media sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which rose 9.55% or 3.0 points to trade at 34.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) added 1.95% or 1.4 points to end at 76.0 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was up 1.54% or 2.1 points to 138.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which fell 3.98% or 1.91 points to trade at 46.05 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 3.00% or 0.65 points to end at 21.00 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was down 2.45% or 0.14 points to 5.58.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 96 to 71 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.98% or 1.91 to 46.05.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.16% or 0.94 to $44.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 3.46% or 1.51 to hit $45.14 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.45% or 5.75 to trade at $1260.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.19% to 9.3450, while USD/NOK fell 0.21% to 8.2077.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 94.18.
