Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.24% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which rose 3.51% or 11.3 points to trade at 331.7 at the close. Meanwhile, Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) added 3.27% or 1.1 points to end at 34.4 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) was up 2.88% or 0.9 points to 32.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 5.24% or 0.38 points to trade at 6.87 at the close. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) declined 2.68% or 3.6 points to end at 130.6 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) was down 2.12% or 2.80 points to 129.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 94 to 80 and 17 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.72% or 0.73 to $43.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.75% or 0.77 to hit $44.80 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1254.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.32% to 9.1912, while USD/NOK fell 0.03% to 8.1157.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 94.28.
