Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Media and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Schibsted ASA (OSLO:SBST), which rose 5.15% or 24.1 points to trade at 492.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) added 2.38% or 0.4 points to end at 17.2 and Bw Lpg (OSLO:BWLPG) was up 2.36% or 1.55 points to 67.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Storebrand ASA (OSLO:STB), which fell 1.45% or 0.44 points to trade at 29.85 at the close. Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA) declined 1.05% or 0.70 points to end at 66.10 and DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) was down 0.61% or 0.07 points to 11.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 97 to 73 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.21% or 0.61 to $51.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.40% or 1.33 to hit $56.88 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.68% or 8.20 to trade at $1194.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.37% to 8.6517, while USD/NOK rose 0.70% to 8.1116.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.90% at 99.14.
